Slimbee mentioned the other day something about an auto-save that could be switched on. My pc barely meets specs and I want to make sure mine is turned off. Also, any suggestions anyone has to reduce lag would be appreciated.

Okay your main problem is lack of Random Access Memory, which results in windows creating a "Paging File" when your sytem is low on memory. This results in VERY SLOW transition from player to player as the system has to start using the hard disc instead of RAM. If you "trun it off" your amchine will not be able to play Tiger at all, if anything it woudl slow your machine down more. Better still buy 1 gig of memory if your machine will take it (ensure to gett he corect type of RAM for your amchine). Page file can be accessed through the "Control panel" ->select "System"->advanced ->Performance->advanced -virtual memory. Suggest u try increaasing this value.
I will move this post to problem page once u confirm u have read it.

First, before you purchase RAM, which can be quite inexpensive these days, I have a suggestion. Many people don't realize that just Defragging your hard drive and clearing your caches can really help your speed. As you use and run windows, your registry and hard drive gets more cluttered as time goes by. These cuttered files and DLL files are taxing to the system. Windows also has the bad habit of spreading info all over your hard drive, in other words, Fragmenting your files. This makes your hard drive have to work much harder to locate files. It's kind of like having a library without a libraian. Imagine trying to find your book without order You already have the Tool to do this: Go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/ There you find Disc Defragmenter. Run this, highlight your hard drive and click on DEFRAGMENT. Now, since you probably have never run this utility, it's possible it will take a few hours to complete the job. You cannot have anything running (you can, but don't!) so close everything before you Start the defrag and go to bed or to the store or watch a movie. If you Defrag your Hard Drive once a week, things will run much more smoothly. There is also a Tool therre called Disc Cleanup, RUN THIS BEFORE you Defrag because it'll trash unused and redundant files. Hope this helps speed you up! Rand

If you have a laptop or slow PC - A couple things I forgot to mention:
There is an "auto-save" feature that comes with MS Office. If you have Office on your PC, this can be turned off in the control panel. Turn it off because you don't need it and it runs itself every so many minutes, and if you have a slow PC it's one more thing running.
Purchase a REGISTRY OPTIMIZER, like WINASO because Windows has a bad habit of accumulation CRAP in your registry and this effects performance!
Laptops without Video Cards: Turn tour graphics to 16 bit, NOT 32! 32 is too much for most laptops, unless you have a nice veideo card your lappy is running it's video through a chip and your hard drive!
And like I said before, Defrag that hard drive once a week! Rand
